Game goes black screen and crashing the pc.

I have a serious problem. The Demo worked fine on this PC but this EA versioon is always causing the whole PC to goes black screen and crashes. First on the main screen happened before I can click on anything like new game options etc. The games steam discussions forum I found a solution I tried it after that I was able to get through the intro, but when the games load me in to the world its crashes again the whole computer. I dont have potato pc and the demo worked fine but it's a bit lets call it funny... Anybody can help me to solve this crashing issue?

I have a similar issue, the demo worked superb on my computer and but the EA application just frezes and stops responding as soon it starts loading a new game. I even tried using the fast graphics settings but still the same result.

I had this problem too. In my windows log the GameInput Service was crashing 6 times in a row when I started the game. After that I disconnected my Controller from my PC and it worked. After that the game just crashed normal, not my whole PC. This crashes where fixed when I set shadow , clouds, mist to medium and capped the framerate to 60. Don't know if this helps you too, but I wish you luck that you get the game running. :)

I give it a try! If I can get to the menu - without a blackscreen crash again - and I can click on the options to set it. :)

I Tried it and sadly nope still crashing :(

I have the same issue currently, I cant even get to giving the man his wagon wheel back before my whole pc freezes and completely crashes having to hard restart it plenty of times, really hoping this issue can get fixed soon x-x

I can't even get through the character customization before the game crashes for me. I just updated my display drivers a couple days ago, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and cleared the download cache for Steam and it still crashes. I set the graphics level to medium. I am going to have to try different settings on it and see if that helps.

For me too. I tried to set the graphics level to low and still black screen...

Would you be able to provide your system specs and any video / photo evidence of what happens when these crashes occur?

this just happened to me too, played for half an hour and it crashed my whole pc, and now i have to start over because nothing saved :(

pc spec:
AMD Ryzen 5 4300G (3,7 GHz)
Memory: 32GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8GB)

I deleted steam cache. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. - and deleted the steam cache each time -. Drivers and windows is up to date. - checked it right now again.

I turned down graphics to medium - crashed - than low and its crashed again...

Its Crashes randomly - 1st time in main menu; 2nd time after character created, 3rd instantly after I left the tutor level, 4th time after when I left the tutor lever and walked for about 10 secends... and a few more try after various periods of time - not more then 10-20 second -
The crash: computer goes to black screen, the sounds can be heard for another 10-15 seconds and the PC have to be restarted with reset button because its not responding.
Because of black screen I cant provide any evidance.

edit: and the funny thing is the demo worked perfectly no crashes like this ever happened.

I deleted the demo when I played with it enough, there is a possibility that a few files remained hidden deep inside steam when I uninstalled? I checked the steam folder and I didnt find any demo remains.

I checked the file integrity many times - even after the games crashed - and all files are valid.

So no solution for me atm.
