Pine branch bug?

I have a quest where I need the pine branch to cleanse a chicken coop, I see the pine branch attached to my backpack but the game wont let me cleanse saying "you need a pine branch for that"
I did cleanse another area before that, is there a cooldown on the pine branch?
Am I missing something?

I had a similar error with the branch when clearing the cemetery. It helped me to move a little to the side relative to the place where I was standing and try to clear again. After that, the branch started working correctly.

Hi, yes I have after a few restarts and walking into another area it worked again
