Cat in Starting Area

Currently trying to finish up everything in the first area since the game said I cannot come back here. I think I have found just about everything. I went back to the witches house to collect the cat that I left there before I started exploring and it disappeared. I have gone back to the house I found the cat to see if it respawned there but no luck. Any ideas? I read that someone suggested going back to the house and going into buildmode to pick the cat bed up but it seems you cannot go into build mode outside of your house.

I have the same issue! I hope the cat respawns in the barn but I fear it won't...

I was refusing to give up the baby goat and lost it grabbing the cat and then lost the cat going back for the goat....can we keeps them?

i'm glad i'm not the only one that wanted to keep the baby goats. XD
i nearly cried finding the ginger cat. it looks like it went into the inventory after returning back to our moving hut. i have to confirm when i load up the game next. played 2.5 hours for the first time and find it very enjoyable so far.
