Cat has wandered off

On the first map I picked up a ginger cat from a barn and brought them home, where they were keeping Baba Jaga company while I was out. At one point I picked them up and placed them back down in the house to let them wander around, but they seem to have disappeared now. I still have their basket, but the cat itself is gone. Does anyone know how to get the kitty back? Will it come with me if I change maps?

First map? Like the one where you make the chicken or the one right after?

Hello! All you need to do is go into build mode and store the cat bed in your inventory then place it back down. It will reappear in the bed! Hope this helps!
