Dialogue Skips

Playing this on my laptop with my mouse... clicking a single time to advance dialogue to the next screen often results in several pages flashing by before I can read, usually when there's a big reveal or exposition involved. Does anyone else experience this?

I had this happen myself. Disabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling for another game and found it fixed the skipping in this and other NLT games.
