MC Speed in Temple Puzzles

I have my MC speed set to fast but in the temple puzzles he goes way slow especially for puzzle 38. Any ideas?

Save yourself the misery and buy the Snake Idol from Squallmart for $200,000. Pull up your inventory and use the Snake Idol, then enter the puzzle. I'm 99% sure that a change was made after the initial release and due to that change you can't move fast enough to complete the puzzle.

Thank you Kilroy. I have been through the game maybe 4 or 5 times and always used the snake idol per your guide. I was just wondering if I missed something. I did one open of my 100% save files and I did beat puzzle 38 once but lost to frustration levels. Agree pay the $200,000 for sure.

When does the snake idol appears at Squallmart? I am at 96% and mains story is finished but no snake idol
