Just finished the game.

And I had a great time with it. Each character has its own story, affinity, there's a whole bunch of skills and events to discover, I wasn't expecting something so well-rounded, especially for an early access game. Despite everything, there are some downsides.

- Dialogues: No way to skip them, even if only the ones you've already read.

- Friendship: it's rather frustrating to get close to inmates, you have very few ways of becoming friends with them. Sometimes you have dialogues, but otherwise it's a gift a day (without skills) and that's it. Moreover, some quests require you to befriend a whole flock of guys in a short space of time, which leads to the next point.

- The quests aren't quite up to scratch: some are simple or satsisfying, others are more.... cryptics. For example, Chess collaborator quest asks me to find an empty chess set, which I've never found... not for lack of trying. Or the one where you have to find soapstones under weeds. I stopped looking after a while because it consumed my precious time, I haven't found a single one and I need 9. Or the missing coin from the donation box, Which I have no idea what to do. Anyway, I don't know if it was a bug, but after 12 days or so, apart from the barbershop's missions, I didn't have a single quest available. The guards weren't giving me any more, nor the gangs. By the way, let's talk gangs.

- The uselessness of gangs: I guess, they haven't been very refined yet, but for the time being, apart from a few derisory bonuses and a store that gives items I can get any other way, It's better to stay neutral. Plus I couldn't become a lieutenant since the gang wouldn't give me any more quests because of my problem mentioned above, but is that even possible at the moment? So far, my experience with gangs has felt rather bland, I didn't really feel involved. Yet it was one of the aspects of the game that intrigued me most.

But that doesn't stop me from liking the game. So far, I've really enjoyed it, despite my frustration with the quests and some balance issues. It's really at an advanced stage, I can't wait to see the next updates and bob's storyline! Good job (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

there's a free chessboard in the entertainment room in the yard, just below the chessboard where two inmates are always playing chess. The stones are just a slim rng, I let weeds grow in until I receive the quest and then just pick the weeds all at once, can usually get 6-8 that day and then just keep your eye out for weeds past that. No idea about how to make the coin quest work. Most of this game seems to be about learning what you need to optimize for future runs and planning around it. If you only ever befriend the inmates related to quests or that sell useful items, it's not hard to just sweep 80% of the quests, free money.

Chessboard: yeah that's what I thought too but I couldn't take it...
Stones: Weird, though I spent a while on it pulling weeds, I never found any. I even got back into it after waiting a few days. Or maybe I'm really unlucky ^^'

The coin requires you to enter the church in the night after Anderson leaves(so the fingerprint lock is removed) and unlock the donate box.

You dont take the chessboard, you sit on the table with empty chessboard during recess and work out the solution. I usually completed it as soon as the quest being given.

You only start finding soapstones AFTER you accept the quest. So if you are like me and like to first complete the quest conditions before even accepting them, you won't find any.

For the donation box, you can reach the church at night from the nearby rooftop (going through the double anti-theft locked door in the pipe system room).

You can also share half your lunch with your table mate at lunch for a solid 20 friendship points.

Is the Chess Collaborator bugged? When going to write down the strategy, there are no options to proceed. I got a pencil, paper as well as the Chess Diagram. But the inventory list is empty
