oohhh! i havent gotten the chance for cooking, how do i get that job?
i bet its by reading a book in the library
Personally I prefer rabbit speed mail sorting as it's $60 per session if you do it flawlessly and I usually don't mess up. Cooking though if done right can make far more money.
If you have enough bonuses to do the mail sorting in one roll and take 5 minutes or less for finishing it, then you can make $30 for 15 minutes of work and gain Int XP too.

but i still dont know how to get access to the kitchen, do i have to return the key to Bruce?
I find cooking extremely hard since the time limit and you can't pause the game. :\ Any tips on how to succeed with it?
When doing the cooking job it is important to multitask. Always try to prepare 4 ingredients before running back to turn them in. If something needs to cook in the pots, start those first and use the waiting time for cutting stuff, making dough etc. Focusing on two ingredient recipies will allow you to get new ones faster.
You can also get a slight headstart by moving to the place you want to pick up the first ingredient while the countdown is still running.
It will get easier with practice, since you start to remember how the dishes are made
Thanks for the advice. I'm "practising" by save-scumming and it starts to get easier now that I know where ingredients and stations are, as well as starting to remember the recipes better. I'm starting to hit the $50-60 mark now.
