How was the relationship system? I believe there were not many female characters
The battle system if it exists?
I only remember that this was fun, just not what little things I loved about it or hoped for it to get.
Well this is a prison. Prisons are normally segregated by sex. So that there are no female characters makes sense within the prison.
The relationship system isn't about romance. It's about who are your friends and enemies. It's about survival and who can help you get out. Occasional friendships are born. That said you can romance the doctor who is a woman.
The relationship system is more towards how you can befriend various inmates, and manage which gang you want to align yourself with! As for romance, there might be some potential romance but we don't want to spoil anything :D
Hey Patriot!
Thanks for the suggestions, that does sound interesting! Do you mean something like a Persona 5 system where stats carry over to make building relationships faster? For our Early Access release there won't be a NG+ mode, but we'll certainly discuss it with our devs for consideration in the future :)
That would be an example, there's also the Shin Megami Tensai system, and the system in the "Tales of..." series "Tales of Symphonia" for example where you can unlock things by taking specific routes or by earning certain achievements.
Well I'm still interessted, but hope it won't dissapoint me.
Can you idk name a price, a playtime from a normal player (not those testers that know the game) and maybe how complete the game will be?
I mean are there already ways to complete a run?
I know what I get myself into with an Early Access, but I started to notice several dead ends or playing the game to much in an unfinished state, can make you less interessted.
I'm tired, if I confused you please ask again, I'm unsure if i make much sense right now.
From what is said on their store page the fox character should be complete. More may be added over time during EA, but there are multiple ways to escape and complete the game out at the start of EA. The price will be cheaper than on release. On release there will be an additional character, Black Panther, who will be added.
One could write them down or look them up theoretically so it would just be a nice thing to have there for convenience.
That's a thoughtful suggestion for NG+. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and we have taken note of your suggestion! Thank you for contributing to the game's improvement!
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy Back To The Dawn!
Now, one thing I'd like to suggest, would be inspired from Tokyo Jungle and Shin megami tensai.
Earning a set amount of points a sort of Completion EXP score. Which you can then spend on whichever character that it is earned.
You could earn these points though things like won combat, boxing matches, poker chips won in poker, number of gifts given, number of animals bonded with and a one time bonus for escape route taken encouraging discovering new routes.
These points can be spent on unlocking the features I mentioned so far and perhaps keeping perks gained from books and games, but this is where Tokyo Jungle comes into play.
In Tokyo Jungle whatever animal you play as gets stronger with each play-through. So you can take the weakest animal and with enough persistence you can make it very strong.
So another option to spend points on in this game would be the base stats of the animal you've earned the completion EXP score on.
The reason I recommend the shop system instead of just granting bonuses outside of the shop is there will doubtlessly be people who may want these things sometimes and not other times. So having the options created in such a way where one can enable and disable certain NG+ features would be ideal.
Hey Patriot,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed suggestion! We genuinely appreciate the thought and effort you put into it. It's evident that you've considered a variety of ways to enhance the replay value and progression in an NG+ setting. We'll definitely take your feedback into consideration as we discuss potential updates and enhancements for the game!

Now that the game is out, clearly, there are romance mechanics. Why limit Affection to only female characters? Like, the Manual literally uses she/her pronouns for romances as if it's core to the mechanic for you only to be able to gain Affection with women. If Thomas can only romance women, will the other characters have more diverse options?
By diverse I assume you mean be gay or bi. You literally only have those three options.
The only other animal I'm aware of coming out is the Panther. Currently the fox is straight, which is made clear throughout. I'm assuming the panther is straight given the limited knowledge we have of his persona. If more will be added that would be interesting to include a gay character. Though the only options I can see romancing are Ray (gross) and Chris. I think there was one more animal that has pink dialog which I'm assuming means that he is gay as well.
Now likely the third animal has been chosen, but if not a Raccoon would be an obvious choice. An armadillo would be an interesting choice. A dolphin would be a funny choice. As my votes would go.
