Won't let me change the controls

WSAD is crippling to gameplay if you're a left-hander, so I always have to change it to arrow keys.
I can't seem to do this. I've eliminated all the duplicate keypresses and stuff, as soon as I do so and press ESC, it stops accepting input - I can't leave the screen or do anything apart from reset the keys if I'm lucky, or stop the game. Please fix, I loved the film and want to give it a chance but it is simply impossible to play with the current keyboard config.

This Issue is still ongoing apparently? 4 Months later?

We are unable to reproduce this issue. Normally, you should be able to set your keys, and pressing escape should save the changes and allow you to play the way you configured your keyboard. If the issue is still happening, we'll need to investigate it further.
