I just enjoy modern retro shooters and i really love the art style. I prefer it to the pace of Ion Fury as well. While that game was cool i found it incredibly frustrating - this is a much slower pace / vibe and i'm good with that.
It's really bringing back memories of playing Half Life for the first time.
It's significantly better than Kingpin Reloaded and you know it. What a ridiculous comment.
Majority of folks jumped on the bandwagon and simply share the same talking points while not trying it themselves.
It's called being intelligent enough to know not to get burned by Slipgate Ironworks again and again. Sorry the education system is apparently lacking these days. Bombshell had these problems, Graven had these problems, Kingpin: Reloaded had these problems, the DEMO for Phantom Fury had these problems... notice a pattern?
You did not understand my point. There are way too many mixed review games on steam that I had blast enjoying far more than your usual triple A games that favor the lowest common denominator for massive audience agreeblness with "good reviews"
My point was not that this game is good as a matter of a statement. But, everyone try it themselves and not have someone else opinion sway your decision and thought. This has been happening way to often I find in forums.
Thankfully, steam gives 2 hours no hassle too see what you may think of the product and form you own basis.
My point is that Slipgate Ironworks doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt and they've been trash since the RoTT remake. Every negative about Phantom Fury stated in reviews can be seen in all of their games. If they ever patch the issues w/ the AI and bugs and there are people who report that it is better, I'll probably give it a shot, but judging by the 'patches' they produced for Graven and K:R I'm not optimistic.
Fair enough, I may just give it a shot only due to steam pro consumer policy since frankly these type of games are few and far in between.
besides the blood trailes reamining present when loading a previous save and the horrible performance SSAO has ..kingpin reloaded was not that bad.
the AI in the original was never good to begin with but its a down right better in the reloaded version. .and the fact that your allies spawn in at each sector is way better then having to get them to follow you all the time like in the original sometimes even getting stuck and breaking your game.
maybe some youtuber will say something positive about it, then the braindead lemmings on this message board will feel like they have permission to like this game.
getting a little boring seeing the exact same lines about slipgate regurgitated over and over rather than anything about the actual GAME.
