How do you burst fire with the pistol

I bought the burst fire and taser upgrades, but alt-fire only shoots the taser. How do I use the burst fire?

press M to open the modifications menu ( by default ) and switch between modifications

You'll need to purchase the burst fire mod to be able to use it
