What's the default shield button?
All I see is a square with an X in it.

Thanks!

I found the underlying issue. The config files from the old demo corrupted the install because they weren't removed with the rest of the demo or when the full game was installed. I had to delete "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Phoenix\Saved\Config" folder and I reverted the keybinds just to be sure.

All good now.

I am sorry, but how did you guys unlock Tier 2 and 3 in the Skill Tree? Is this tied to Level Progression?

I had the Nanites and i found the Drop Pod several times, but i was always unable to unlock Tier 2! So i maxxed out Tier 1, still locked. (Is that even necessary for Tier 2?)

Nothing is explained, i just wanna have the basic bionic arm skills!
I'm not completely sure but I think all the upgrade/mods unlocks as you progress through game or get the relevant items.

Hey, if anyone else runs into this problem, could you maybe check to see if your "q" key acts as a weapon quick-switching key (like in Half-Life) before you reset your controls? And then maybe look for the corresponding line in your Input . ini?

I had a similar issue, but my "q" key acted as a quick-switch key before I reset my controls. Now I'm trying to get that quick-switching functionality back - see this discussion for reference: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1733240/discussions/0/4348864563391231669/

my q key acts as a weapon quick switch key from day one and even now after the patch, just a box with what looks like an x and can't use shield ability. oh right in the key bing menu q shows up as equip previous weapon

Yeah, the patch has nothing to do with that, just don't revert your binds or you might lose the "equip previous weapon" function for good.

Could you do me a favour? Could you go to your Phantom Fury ini folder (on Windows, it should be Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Phoenix\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor).
You'll find a bunch of files, one of which is called "Input.ini".
If you open that file with a text editor, you'll see a bunch of lines that say stuff like "ActionMappings=(ActionName="ModMenu",bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False,Key=M)"

Could you use the search function here to find the line that corresponds with your "q" binding? You can probably just search for "Key=Q" to find the respective line.
Could you paste that line here?

I'm kinda hoping that just adding that line back into the file on my end will give me that functionality back.

sorry for super late reply but this is what i found doing what you asked me to do
ActionMappings=(ActionName="PreviousWeapon",bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False,Key=Q) even after the last patch still have q as quick weapon swap

Thank you so much for posting this here! Have some awards!

And it actually works, too! I was able to put together a guide, just in case anyone else wants to get that function back into their game once this thread gets burried in time.
