Help a Noob

After years of playing on console, I've managed to build my first PC with a decent spec. This is the first game I've brought due to years of people saying how amazing it is graphically.

Just wondering If someone could point me in the right direction with Mods for this game. Most of the Mods I would like to download would be graphics enhancers (improvements to water, weather and the terrain), new textures and realism Mod. I've been searching but have no clue whats the best mods.

Any help will be amazing, I know it's annoying when a topic like this pops up.

try desura theres a few mods on there just need to make an account and it installs them for you

Moddb.com is also good resource for mods. But best resource of all is Google itself ;).

I was looking for some textures pack right now (after playing Crysis 1 with some HD textures mod Warhead simply became unwatchable ;)) and found this 2GB pack:

For advanced not only visual configuration but also for AI i would suggest CCC Warhead, it is small install/config allowing to tweak even untweakable ;).

Also for advanced dificulty settings simply go to you game folder \Game\config\, you can find diff_*.cfg files, you can easily tweak some basic things for both AI and player there (you can see there is specific config file for each difficulty setting).
