Have fun wasting your money and buying the game again for no reason.
lol @ "64 bit only" listed in GOG min specs. You do realise they did nothing at all with the files of this game, apart from remove the 32 bit .exe/bin32 folder?
Plus, you could have easily imported your steam or disk Crysis into the 64 bit DRM free warhead engine.
You just got shaken down for £30, or whatever your currency is
I have made and habit of that. I own many games on three different platforms (Disk, Steam, GOG). I only ever buy on sales though.
Is the 64 bit executable "worse"? I think I've read somewhere that the 64 bit version of Crysis has some performance issues.
Is that possible? Can you simply replace the Crysis executable with the Warhead one and it will just work?
I bought it on GOG first, and later on steam. I paid R$ 7,99 on GOG and R$ 4,99 on steam, and that's how much I spend every day at the bakery.
Simply enter the bin64 folder and launch the crysis64.exe.
And yes, the 64 bit .exe definitely is MORE stable than the 32 bit one. You wouldn't not want to use it.
I am also guessing that GOG versions is the 64 bit .exe. In other words, you're probably already using the 64 bit version anyway. Like I say, they list 64 bit only in min spec.
The Crysis in Warhead engine guide is here. OK, so I won't kid you, it's a bit tricky, but the warhead engine is more stable, for me, without any of the problems listed in that guide.
