+++ NEIGHBORS: SUBURBAN WARFARE - FAQ +++
When will Neighbors: Suburban Warfare release into Early Access?
A: April 17th. Detailed timings will be announced as we get closer to the release date in our Discord and on Steam.

Will the game be on consoles?
A: Our current goal is to get the game launched, polish and developed to a point, where we feel it can be ported to consoles as patching and updating console versions it is often very complicated to do it during an Early Access phase.

How much will the game cost on Early Access release?
A: The game will cost 10 Dollars during Early Access.

Why Early Access?
A: The most fundamental reason for this is that we genuinely enjoy developing games with our communities. We firmly believe that developing a game like Neighbors: Suburban Warfare together with the players is the best way to unlock the full potential of the game. We need to observe it out in the open to identify what works and what needs change. We want to be able to focus on the content that the community wants, and this is the way we get to do that.

How long will Neighbors be in Early Access?
A: This greatly depends on how the game evolves during the Early Access. We don’t want to force it out prematurely. We want to do this right and proper and develop Neighbors with the feedback of the community. That said, we plan to polish the game and re-assess our internal timeline throughout the process and cannot commit to a definite release time for 1.0. What we can say is, that we do not expect to finalize it in 2025.

How will the 1.0 version differ from Early Access?
A: Throughout the Early Access phase we look to strongly consider community feedback regarding polish and balancing and increase the overall amount of content. In addition to this it will possibly contain at least two more game modes including maps for these. More Neighbors, Maps, Items, Houses and Customization options. Exact amounts of these depend on the feedback collected during the Early Access, but we are eager to expand upon the current version of the game.

What is the current content of Early Access?
A: We currently plan to release an Early Access version of the game, which includes our main game mode and two different maps. 8 playable character on Early Access launch with perk progression and level cap at 20 and selection of 5 houses playable in both maps. We look to expand upon this continuously throughout the Early Access process with first updates already lined up and coming soon after Launch.

Will the price change after Early Access?
A: We want Neighbors to be as accessible as possible so everyone has the possibility of joining the neighborhoods in Heartsville. We have a "Players first" mentality and will look to be and also keep(!) it player friendly. Currently we plan to increase the price of Neighbors as soon as it exits Early Access, as we assume it will be better suited to reflect the content in the game.

How do you plan to include the community in the development?
A: We want to have as much interaction with the community as possible. We will regularly collect feedback and idea suggestions through both our Discord channel and surveys. Besides this we will run (bi-)Weekly Dev Streams, Competitions and other gimmicks. Updates will be shared on Discord and Steam Forums as we make progress as well as community-requested BTS insights.

How many neighbors will be playable at EA release?
A: On release we have a roster of 8 playable neighbors. Our goal is to expand the roster regularly throughout development.

Will there be any bots/npc's to fill player spots if someone leaves or there's an uneven amount of players on a team?
A: The game will not feature bots, but it will have a “Hot Join” feature, which will matches players using the Quick Play to fill up the empty slots of the match.
