New Demo! - Steam Base Builder Fest

Hello Moon Corp CEOs,
Our team has been preparing a demo for Steam Base Builder Fest and, while we are a bit late, it is now live for download! We are continuing to work on game systems so please let us know if you find bugs, have feedback or suggestions. Let us know what you would like to see!

New features:

Multiple office levels and elevator.
Customization of office pods. Place desks, whiteboards and all sorts of goodies.
Hire employees to research upgrades faster.
Research tree progress based on number of employees, their skill and your office equipment.
Sewer mission, fight Zelpha over the fat-burgs!
Tower defense drone camera now rotates.
Turret UI and placement feedback.
Turret and mech override combat improvements.
And more!

P.S.
A few known issues with the demo, a later update will aim to fix these and any other bugs you find.

Known issues:
- Interacting with office employees while talking reopens dialogue when rather than closing it.
- Turrets don’t show “not enough funds” error when selecting a weapon that is too expensive.
- Various infinite money loops… (see if you can find them)
- News intro dialogue delays are too slow.
- Research tree is not clearly showing what upgrades are unlocked, available and active.
- Office objective markers don’t always show the right way to go.
- Loading into the office shows popping and steaming of objects.

Invert mouse!

Could not find a way to invert mouse so couldn't play. I'm sure it will be added but please make sure it makes the demo at some point.

Dan Poole is the composer and sound designer at Kite Shield Interactive and is responsible for everything you will hear in our upcoming game Moon Corp. Tower Defense. Dan introduces you to his tools and software by showcasing the first level’s “City Gates” piece. Various sound libraries are used to create everything you will hear and we get to see a few in action as Dan breaks down the Gatling gun sound effect with yet another special guest appearance of the cute and cuddly Daisy. We wrap up the interview with a few tips and tricks of what Dan has found helpful when getting into the Game Music and Sound industry.

Demo Feedback

So overall it was pretty good. My main concern is that I don't really know how the weapons differ. Some of them are obvious, but it would be nice if they had descriptions somewhere. Also a pause button would be handy. I didn't realize there was two alien spawn points on the second level so I had to scramble to set up some turrets when I saw the second stream of them....

Demo Feedback

Few things: The artstyle is okay, but the controls are not great. Allowing for rebinding and mouse look speed would be awesome. The game does launch Steam VR at start. Which is weird. Sadly, I could not complete the demo because I placed a turret on the far right side of the screen, then my camera broken, went far left into the scenery and the game soft locked there. Always enjoy a good tower defense, but this needs more work before prime time. Good luck!...
