You're going to have to elaborate on exactly what you think isn't "normal" and help should be sought for. I'm guessing you're quoting a movie or you think you're being funny, but... you know...
Yeah, it does seem to be a staple of Soulslikes that the main character is quite small. Heck in Elden Ring that's a big part of the lore.
Edit: Now that I think on it, being a small fry is pretty common in games, Mario, Little Mac, Link, especially Link. Mostly this just feels like yet another tiny hero punching up.
Hilda herself also seems unaware or doesn't care about couple love at all, too.
And even a warrior, she's shorter and smaller than almost all the human NPC, including adult women.
I guess she's only 14 or so....The dialog was changed to 18 maybe bc the dev doesn't want to have legal trouble whatsoever with her age.
I have no problem playing a child, though. I only focus on how to make her OP 🤣
here it's different. she's 18 but looks 14 maybe 15 or 16 at most tops, she's short and somewhat cute. so i understand why op would want a mod to alter this. thing is tho some chicks are just petite and never grow out of it so there's that too.
hard to say what the devs are thinking here because i don't know of many Taiwanese Soulslike games except for Thymesia which I LOVE but the protagonist there is a badass plauge doctor who hides his face and never speaks.
OP, that's you
The game happens in a place that has strictly defined gender roles, being based on Ancient Greece. Their women do not become soldiers. The idea is strange and alien to them, which is why they comment on it. Heck, some of them even mock her for it because they view her as a rampaging barbarian.
Hilde's culture, however, does allow female warriors... and the only thing that they take issue with is that she behaves immaturely and doesn't follow orders.
It is honestly kinda sad that you've somehow missed all of this, as this is one of the few games released in the past few years that actually does the "strong female lead" thing decently.
