There is no map. Explore everything and you will see, it will be easier to find everything everywhere.
Nobody go to Dark Souls forums to asking for a map!
So maybe a map only shows areas you've visited like in Elden Ring.
Last time I played this game was in October, so there's no way to remember the location of 7 stupid worthless owl statue shrines for DLC.
I get why they didn't do a super detailed map but if they do another game I hope they let you mark important spots or something like that.
you could just explore
frankly the game would lose much of it's appeal if it was just another Ubisoft/EA follow the questmarker and the minimap game
exploration is definitly a major part of the experience, like it was/is in many other arpg/rpgs
the areas are visualy (and even through music/sound) distinctive enough to pretty much always know where you are at
Which makes it so frustrating. Not even any indication when fast travelling if this area is part of a mission.
and who is this "everybody" you speak of?
It is a bit confusing sometimes as the people you have to talk to for quests aren't marked so you might wind up having to just go back and talk to everyone, but again that doesn't take long.
I've also played through all FromSoft Souls game.
Still would like a map. Is it necessary? No. Would it make the experience better? Definitely.
Still, from what I can tell, this game is trying too much to be like Dark Souls, but all the things it does best are decidedly NOT like Dark Souls... and it would be better if the designers stopped trying to copy Dark Souls and focused more on making their own thing.
