If you experienced the harpy area or later areas and still don't like it then it's probably not for you. Personally I find it pretty fun while holding it at indie game standards (no crazy graphics or production).

Yeah I'm still early in the game and just killed what seemed like the first water boss. It's been boring up to that point and I was thinking of refunding the game. But like you said since it's an indie game I do want to support devs that aren't trying for a quick cash grab.
There are metal doors with guards next to them who tell where the passage leads. I think that's the point you are at.
