Some people are already working on beating the game in challenge mode at level 1 (by manualy locking their level to level 1)
Pretty much. It's a question of time people go for that.
Lul it felt nothing like a souls game. x)
Save points, respawns, attack patterns =/= souls games, honey. It's literally MOST games. :-)
The dodge, the fighting system and the bonfire system alone basically make the games souls-likes. It's basically like calling every 3d shooter since doom "not a 3d shooter because it's not exactly like Doom." It's a new genre of games and its this IS IT! Last played Steel rising, and it was super easy as well without a difficulty setting AND STILL IS THE SAME, It's yet another GOOD souls like!
There are in fact games where you can debate it, like Kena that was called that as well, and yes people call pretty much all kinds of games souls likes nowadays. This one has like 19/20 souls like features. So stop the pretentious BS and admit it's a souls-like.
I thought you can not teleport, WRONG, I actually unlocked it in the story. Just like in DS1, but it feels later. So yet another thing basically straight up copied from souls. Nothing wrong with copying what is great and fun. You don't cry "steeling" on every 3d shooter after Wolfenstein or whatever came first that nobody remembers because Wolfenstein was so big.
No not! Most games have auto-save points or support quicksave and manual save at any point. (You can actually manually save at any point in this game as well BTW) In souls the "manual save" is just hidden behind the "go back to menu" or by just quitting the game.
Do not BS around. There are a lot of souls likes popping up and games like Control have adopted the save point mechanic from souls likes without being a soul like but is THE ONLY game I can think of that has this kind of save points without also being a souls-like because that is far from the only thing they adopted.
Steelrising is not really a soulslike but it's far closer to that than Asterigos.
