Also would've been cool if instead of giving up all your progress in eternal mode after you're done, that they instead show you how big your katamari managed to get in the level just for fun after you played through it and that it'd update every time you beat your size record.
(Some levels may need the size record to be replaced with a more appropriately fitting record for that level, like "How many of this thing did you gather in the level?" for those certain levels, like for instance, in the Sun level, you'd be able to see the record of how many stars you could roll up in eternal mode and beat that record, or how many fireflies you've gathered to lit up the katamari as a record.)
[This would add to replayability.]
So it'd be fun because then you'd be able to think strategically and pick up the smallest items before picking up the largest or else you won't fit and get everything in every stage.
Just my opinion, though.
100% agreed, well said. Personally I was surprised that Eternal Mode only showed up in ALAP3-5 when they made a pretty big deal of Eternal showing up this time around. I agree it'd probably not make sense on a few levels, but having the option just for the heck of it would've been nice. We can only hope they patch it in one day.
