Klonoa series underrated?

Honestly I'm still playing the games (as of now around 3/4ths the way through the first game?) and it's disappointing that the game, rather the series isn't as well known or cared about as many others. Maybe I'm not on any part of the internet that talks about Klonoa but I just never see anything about it unless I am actively searching for it. Besides the game itself which is great in its own right, as far as I am in it at least, the characters/designs are so charming and nice to look at that I'm surprised the series hasn't garnered more fans or even people just checking to see what it is

I have a vague memory of that moment but I guess it came out when the market was already too much crowded. Either by similar titles and more blatant ones. Surely is cute : )
