Damn, man... this is my same thoughts.. i swear - Tomba! is 1 of best and underrated PS1 era and 2.5d metroidvania games ever, i freaking love it.. but i afraid that Tomba, unfortunately, locked on Sony console and they forget about that masterpiece after all, they don't give a .. look on "compability"... If anyone bring Tomba 1 & 2 and give this threatment like Klonoa.. i pre-order and buy a few for my friends Still remembered, still love, still 1 of the best.

While it could be nice, Tomba wasn't made by Namco but by Whoopee Camp and that studio isn't around anymore.

I think it's because it was released on the PS1 around the same time, so they just probably just assume.

For the record.. not assuming anything. I was talking to the devs not the publisher.. who could potentially seek out any project they want. I know Whoopie Camp isnt around any longer but its not out of the realm of possibility.

I think Tomba was always overrated. I loved the demo back then but it ended right where it need to, before you realize that the game is an awful series of fetch quests with little to no plattforming later on.
Never played the sequel because I couldn't bother to.

Yes I didn't like it and yes it's totally ok that you like it. We're on a forum, we're exchanging opinions, this process can be interesting.

Do you know what isn't interesting? If someone behaves overly defensive because they believe every sentence is a sign of intolerance towards other players preferences and behaviour.

Oh people have opinions!? Tell me something new. I would rather argue about what's good in Tomba and what not instead of having these pointless platitudes wich nip every discussion in the bud.

If you hung up on the word "overrated" which I use as a personal notion where I just want to say "I don't think its as good as I was told to", then you should think really hard how even more triggering a word like "outdated" is.
