Klonoa 2 is better on that regard, but just because less things where modified from the original version, so less things to make worse (mainly optimization issues related by some and lack of some visual effects).
I mean, in DtP's case that's basically all it is: a souped up version of the Wii remake. There's some little bits and pieces missing/changed in LV (like facial expressions and music in certain cutscenes), but it's not super noticeable and the remaster itself is pretty good so far, IMO.
