Intel Not Tracked?!

So I loved the game and thought it was very thought provoking and profound. Looked gorgeous and runs buttery smooth. BUT, the intel detracts from the pace of the game having to look everywhere for computers. I would rather have just read the intel at my own leisure and not have an achievement tied to it in order to require another run through. At least track all intel across your save game as it seems if you play a chapter through level select you then reset the intel count OR you continue from the beginning with intel count intact. I have now voided my count as I had to go to chapter 7 to get the hat for astra. Even after scowering what I thought was everywhere I only ended with 65/76 pieces. Please fix the above, many thanks!

Intel just seems bugged in general.

Multiple times I noticed that the count seemed like it didn't increment properly. At first I assumed maybe I was misremembering or missing steps due to deaths taking you back to before you interacted with a terminal.

But one section where I was dead certain I saw it happen I intentionally forced killed myself to verify. Sure enough, I could repeat two terminals in a row showing me the same number despite being absolutely certain I read them both.


I was forced to accept that this achievement is likely bugged/impossible right now. The way the game tracks intel/progress seems very poor.

It does track properly, just it displays the number more often than it should. A death doesn't reset the count. If you use a terminal without any intel just like an open door option it will still show the current number. It doesn't actually care if you look at the messages, the act of accessing the terminal will count any messages on it right away.

So if you get 2 messages and bring the count up to 33 for example, then die, going to them again will just show 33 for both instead of 32 for the first and 33 for the second. The total is the same.
