Dorf has side/border bonus, Pan'O has near tile bonus as core gameplay diffrences.
This game is the closest to Dorf, without being a 1:1 clone.

tbh I prefer Pan'O because its less harsh with the tile placements and I keep losing 2 hours of my life in a blink of a moment

From the perspective of someone who has scored over 50,000 points and achieved 7 perfect matches with a single tile in Dorfromantik, I will write this:

The Panorama is certainly much prettier. The appearance of the tiles is dynamic. The fields evolve visually. After playing Dorfromantik, at least initially, it will also seem more soothing and relaxing. Primarily because you don't have to match specific edges of a given tile... This doesn't mean the game lacks its challenges. In Panorama, there's a lot more happening in terms of tasks and the development of your landscape.

I do all rewards in Dorfromantik and reach here to build everything in a standard game ... I think Pan'orama is more easy going not very difficult and that is the point: Dorfromantik is in the moment the bigger challenge (with the rewards at least) do have longer fun with it. Here I am already thinking "so - I build everything ... and now? ... build it again?.

Pan'orama is much prettier game than Dorfromantik but if you want actual puzzle challenge then Dorfromantik is a better game. If you want just to relax and enjoy pretty buildings then Pan'orama is good for that.

I have both but Dorf is more challenging

Dorfromantik is harder, but I'm not sure if it is necessarily in a good way. Pan'orama trivializes too much by having all types apply to all edges. Needing to pay attention to all edges in Dorfromantik significantly improves the early game but turns into an annoyance later on.

Eventually you start spending several minutes because you drew a multi-type tile and you need to check the entire map which grew too big due no end game goal. Once you find out one the types aren't on the right edges so it would mess up your perfects, you get to then spend more time finding a spot where a multi-type tile can be placed while not causing placement problems in the future.
