Confused

Is there a tutorial or instructions some where? I'm not sure of what I'm supposed to be doing. How do I know if I hung the pictures in the right place?

If you mean the very beginning of the game, the button by the nameplate will only appear when the correct painting is hung.

I've got the paintings in the right place but how do I watch the videos from the killers?

after hanging all paintings correctly during the day, use the tv at the reception desk to advance

This took me a while to figure out, For each day, check the area that shows the paintings of each suspect and the clues below the frame, Then place portraits accordingly. I think that is a decent hint without saying too much,

The day gallery and the night gallery ask you to do different things. In the day, you have to hang the lore paintings above their correct plaques - as @braka said, the button will only pop out if you've got it right.

At night, your goal is to unlock the police interview videos. @donniebutts gave excellent non-spoilery advice so the only thing we'll add is that hanging the paintings isn't enough... you need to get them to play :)

Okay I figured out what to do. There was an entire wing of the game I was missing after the first clue TV. That is where the main gameplay during off the 2nd half of each night took place.
After 4 hours and 10 minutes, finished my first playthrough and I guessed correctly! Not sure if things carry over, hope it does. I had a lot of fun!

what does it mean, "place portraits accordingly"? If its placing random pictures (portraits) around the massive night-time rooms (i got 3 or 4 of them now) i don't get it. Each time you place on on any spot its a randomly picked picture.

Spoilers ahead -> if you're wondering how to get the paintings to play in the night gallery hang them on the wall and click the plaque with the keyword below, exactly like you would have done for the first key puzzle. If you're wondering which paintings to play where, that's a free choice, but to solve the murder you'll need to unlock the police interviews... The paintings that are already hanging with the suspect names below them and 3x keywords are the police interview paintings. If you want to know how to unlock those... activate each of the keywords in order 1,2,3 and then you can click the suspect name plaque to play their interview. If you haven't found it already, a general hint for recapping what you've seen is... the replay wall in reception. Behind the desk there's a hanging space where you can replay all the videos you've seen so far, and police interviews, by hanging suspect paintings there and clicking the plaques. Hope this helps!

Still a tad confused, but i figured out the hanging part, kind of :P

Now puzzles: https://imgur.com/a/qIoDXXL <- just got this one and don't understand what to do? All i could do was clicking the "silver discs", Once each, and of course that didnt work
So, is it something tricky with controller?

You can also click the symbols on the left to change them. Then clicking the silver disc tells you how many you've got in the right place, or "right symbol, wrong place" - a bit like Wordle or Mastermind

why is it several colours? Is the "brown" or the RED right? I got no idea what worlde is

So, is it something tricky with controller?

If you go to seed number 113311785 (which is the first seed I played when playing on PS5) I found this to be the solution on the 4th try. When I went to play that seed on PS4 I got it right first try by inserting these symbols in that order.

Since I can't paste a picture of it here, the order for that seed is
1. yellow singular arrow inside black diamond
2. blue singular arrow inside white diamond
3. yellow cup/chalice inside black circle
4. blue triangles with line in between inside white triangle
5. Same as 4.
