Artifacts question, would appreciate opinions

Are these meant to be used, or meant to be an "easy-mode" option of some kind?

It feels like some (such as the Grave Mask and Mourn Suit) allow you to bypass some platforming moments a little too well.

I worry that it's becoming kind of a "crutch" for me as well. I'm trying to get the speed medal in 4-5, and am having a hard time. Maybe using the mask is giving me bad habits? I'm not throwing Chime nearly as much anymore.

Thoughts?

yeah they are meant to just be extra things used for fun, or to make 100%-ing a little easier for the less capable gamers haha (apart from the post-post-game final secret challenges, some of which are made with specific items in mind lol)
