5880 and 2649
Does anyone have any idea what those codes are for or what they do? They seem to do something with the padlocked doors if you return to them in the next level but you can't escape from the room with the second one in the third act...

Here's what I figured out:
1.1. 5880 appears on the roofcap, at least if you sequence-break the game and enter it without going through the corridors (haven't checked the legit way yet). Upon entering it on the first door in the second act, nothing happens except an 'OPEN' prompt on the padlock.
1.2. Screwing around with Cheat Engine and entering the code on the first door in the third act actually closes it.
1.3. Entering 2649 on the second door in the third act doesn't do anything except giving you the 'OPEN' prompt.
2. Entering the codes before unlocking the doors with the proper ones does nothing.
3. Entering the codes right after unlocking the doors does nothing.
4. Entering both codes in the third act does not affect anything at all; the ending does not change, and the objects / rooms stay exactly as they were. No additional doors are unlocked.
5. Entering 2649 on the first door and 5880 on the second one gives you a 'WRNG' prompt.
6. There is a door on the rooftop that cannot be accessed normally. That door is also unaffected by the codes.

All in all, those don't seem to do anything at all, so it's a big question why they're in the game. They've got to mean something... right? Maybe you need to see them both or something? I couldn't find 2649 in the game itself, just in the files.

First locked room - 1958
Second locked room - 6372

These are the only codes in the game. Don't over think what you've found. Devs put things in games all the time only for them to not be used or forgotten about.

@SpartanSPNKr, true, but what sets me off is that these codes actually work. They're accepted by the doors as correct, so there's at least some functionality coded in for them. Not only that, but there's also (probably) a way to get both of them legitimately. Even if they're essentially cut content, what could they actually do?

The might have been the original codes during development then changed later.

Could be, but why code two separate new codes instead of just replacing the accepted values with new codes? Besides, the first alternative code pops up in the second chapter, after you unlock the first door. I'd write that off as a code for the second door, but the second door doesn't accept it. It just seems like they're different codes entirely. I wish I were good at coding to check the what these codes do using Cheat Engine.

I can't entertain this anymore. Assume what you must my friend.
