I also had a hard time with this part. I had to change to easy to go on...
Poor kid! He's just in need of attention... so if you are still struggling with this, and you don't mind reading the solution, here is how you do not make the kid cry in hard mode:
After the hide seek game starts, go to the kitchen, take the water and put the food on the table. Go upstairs, read the memo and then start looking for the kid in the closets, beginning from the parents bedroom (in hard mode, the kid is hiding upstairs).
After the kid went to the kitchen, put the sheets to wash and dry, water the two plants in the parents bedroom and the one on the bottom of the living room. Go to the kitchen.
(if the kid was hiding in the closet in the parents bedroom, then start by watering the plants in that room and then take care of the sheets)
After talking to the kid, and before leaving the kitchen, fill the bottle and wash the dishes. After leaving the kitchen, take the sheets, make the bed and water the remaining two plants in the living room. Return to the kitchen.
After the kid has left the kitchen, fill the bottle, extinguish the fireplace, water the 2 plants in the corridor and then go to the kid's bedroom.
thank you for your feedback. I understand that the ending can be a bit controversial, but it's inspired by a personal experience which I wanted to get out of my head. Sometimes stories do not end the way we want... and I find it interesting that a game, even as simple as mine, can make people feel like that! Regardless, I'm glad to hear that you like the rest of the game :)
