Suzy - Tammy Throuple is Contrived
From what we learn during the story, Suzy has loved the MC since even before we left for college. Suzy felt abandoned by us, and it was the starting point for the story when the MC returned at the start of the game. In an early dialogue about virginity with Suzy, we learn she's been with a woman before who's definitely Tammy.

Tammy on the other hand had a crush on us before we left for college, and after we return it's apparent that there's some sexual tension still there for her with the MC. She's also the one who first tells us how much Suzy loves us, and for how long she has loved us and wanted to be with us. It's a pretty big story moment in the Suzy route. Tammy views everything as a ♥♥♥♥ buddy situation as we learn from dates and is young, wanting nothing to do with a serious relationship for a long time.

So it makes sense when Suzy catches the MC and Tammy boning in the coffee shop that she'd run off upset, especially seeing the MC ♥♥♥♥ her best friend. The only foreshadowing available that there's something more between Tammy and Suzy beyond just sex was when Tammy said "I'd stay in your bed for the night, but Suzy would get jealous.".

And it makes all of about 0 sense when they both come to you offering essentially a throuple, or nothing at all. Suzy will choose Tammy over you despite everything learned in the game thus far about her massive love towards you, and Tammy will say that she's loved Suzy for years despite her only ever saying that she is not into serious relationships and just likes casual sex. Overall the choice feels very contrived from what we get in each route leading up to that point. There's certainly nothing wrong with choosing to go the throuple route, but it just feels contrived that Suzy will always choose Tammy over the MC if the "I only want Suzy" option is picked. As does Tammy's response if you say you only want her.

Just had to rant that real quick. Only issue I've taken with the game's writing so far, been enjoying the rest, but the writing there feels inconsistent.

I'd say the game definitely doesn't have the same kinds of consequences that other AVNs do vis a vis choosing one love interest over another. It's very "sandbox-y" in that you kinda just get to pick who you want, ignore who you want, and nothing major changes for it.

At least, for now. In future updates, it's certainly set up that you're going to be choosing one option to go forward and become serious with, except some of them don't have the "monogamous" option (such as Rhonda or Lisa). And in the case of the Suzy/Tammy trio (I can't stand the word "throuple") the idea of monogamy/marriage is brought up. The "correct answer" (in their words) is to pick both of them, but honestly, I feel like if you choose anyone else (like say, Jamie), then at least Suzy & Tammy have each other. It's a concept thoroughly explored in Being a ♥♥♥.

I know that choices affecting story paths has more "realism" and impact of a playthrough for games like this, and it's nice seeing how they all unfold, in addition to adding replay value. This game, sadly doesn't have that benefit, until after you make the choice of whom you want to continue with.

And it's not like there's any easy answer, either; my main draw through much of the early game was Brandi, but then when I got sufficiently through Kendra's route, that... changed. Dana's also wound up being really good. Of the paths that I played through (all but Bai & Adrian), I'd say there's no "weak" contenders, except maybe Juliana or Whitney.

Otherwise, yes, the writing's been pretty good, especially for a first-timer. I very often play these games and think of other options to say and react with that I would in real life, just a lil dismayed that I can't say/do *everything* I want to. But I'm looking forward to where RJ takes us.

With the confrontation scene, I didn't see it as Suzy choosing Tammy over the MC. I saw it as Suzy choosing to have a throuple and the MC opting out of that.

See, I totally get that if it was just the 1st and 4th choices. Either going throuple or opting out of it. But with the "I only want Suzy" option, Suzy says "I'm sorry, I know this is my fault but I can't just cut things off with Tammy now, I love her too, I want to be with her too. If you don't want that I'll be sad, but I'm not going to choose you over her." The mc responds with "Aren't you choosing her over me then?" and she says "I don't know what else to do, I don't want to lose either of you. Tammy is into it, I'm into it. If you aren't, that's your choice, but it's too late for me to go back to just me and you."

It's a pretty clear cut Suzy choosing Tammy over the MC, which is solidified with the next choice following that being between going throuple or doubling down on "I don't want tammy", and if you say again you don't want Tammy, Suzy goes "Well this was fun while it lasted."

It definitely gives off the vibes that despite how madly in love Tammy tells you Suzy has always been with you, and how even Suzy herself tells you later in the throuple route, Suzy would rather choose a relatively newly discovered love over her long time love.
Wow, over analysing much. Its a game, there's hot, naked chicks to bang. That's it, right?

They said it right there, they aren't sure if you're being serious.

Serious about it being a game? Err, yeah I am.

I guess you've never seen someone criticize a game's writing before then? You call it over analysis, I call it a critique on a section of writing for a specific story line.
Because AVN fans don't play these games just because "there's hot chicks to bang". We do it because we're hoping there's a story to become invested in, characters to fall in love with. Some of them are so good you could take the sex out of them and the game wouldn't suffer for it (Leap of Faith), but it's a nice bonus.
So no, that's not "it".

If all you want is sex scenes, then there's other formats of porn game to play.

Oh ok, obvs the story is important too, but its mostly about the T&A.
It's a game, the story is what it is. Get over it. I don't particularly like or agree with absolutely all of the content but there's not a lot I can do about it - that's life. If you can't distinguish between real life and a fantasy game, you seriously need to step away from the computer.

I for one am glad to see for once a wlw pair not being forced apart to make way for a male interest that suddenly makes the women completely forget about each other. My big worry was the writing doing that exact thing, but glad its not.
