2)The fact that Craftomates eats all you provide them, including accidental actions seems for me more like fun feature, sometimes it causes to some waste of resources, but I guess this waste is not significant, cause every item in game can be recreated.
At the same time, such events feel logical from world point of view, and it would not be fair to artificially protect the player from such mistakes.
As for the craftomates eating anything they are presented, I agree it is a fun feature, but if the item can not be recreated because it was a present from the control center, than kind of makes it not as fun.
One of my favorite craftomate fun features is when I click on a resource to break it out and they grab it to make their items. I've done it a hundred times, and it never gets old.
Meh... Agree, I guess it should be fixed by changes objectives, not changing mechanics.

Uhm, I haven't tried yet, but can craftomates eat craftomates?!
Only if craftomate was not "unpacked" after crafting (if it still in element form) :) If Craftomate once been unpacked it cant be eaten... For now
