I bought the game today after seeing it on Twitch and YT.
It gives me My Summer Car vibes but of course understand that it is a standalone game.

How does Jari finding your objects work, cause once again I lost my flashlight in the bush. Is it specific to items that fall through the map or can he only find certain player objects?

He currently finds nothing, we chose to just respawn the item to where it fell through the map, or if the player has equipped or used it in any way, it will appear under the player. It's just dialogue that basically has no function. It's very hard to determine whether the player has actually lost an item or is it somewhere for a reason, so losing things in bushes is currently only fixed by using the console command /restore, and "/restore flashlight_bp" in this case specifically.

!0/4 . I Figured I would have to go find the flashlight myself. Usually can find most things just the damn flashlight is tricky for some reason. Excited to see what will be implemented next

Now there are maps at the bus stops. There also are bigger map pictures in Google/Cottage simulator wikipedia where you can research them more clearly. Those will help you see the surroundings and where you can go exploring.
