It spawns in a random spot. I've had it spawn in the outhouse, and on the sauna windowsill.

I have checked both windowsills in the shed, both windowsills in the sauna, the windowsill in the outhouse (and under all the poo), the dock, the moonshine bunker, the trunk of the car, and various other areas and there is no key in any of the expected locations.

I saved by sleeping on Pekka's sofa, exited out of the game, restarted, and still nothing.

Is there a console command to respawn the cottage key? I know there are several spawn points for the key and I don't mind looking for it but I'm increasingly convinced it hasn't spawned in correctly. If there are other spawn points for the key I haven't mentioned (e.g. the windowsills, the bunker, the outhouse), roughly where else should I be looking?

Or do I have to throw away the last hour or two of gameplay and start a new game, hoping the key spawns in correctly?

I know, this is a Finland Simulator (like My Summer Car, Obenseuer, Mpn Bazou, etc.) - it's supposed to be ludicrously irritating. I knew that going in. If I'm blind, that's one thing but I honestly think there's something broken here based on other people's experiences and I don't know how to fix it to proceed.

I've checked the cottage windowsills as best I can (no good way to reach second floor back) and rechecked everything else. I'm happy to send someone a save file so the can check if the key actually exists but I think at this point I just need to start a new game and throw away a few hours of gameplay for nothing.

If you can't find the key even after saving/loading the game, you can send the savegame to "vv" via our discord. The key's location gets refreshed every time you load the game.

Or another way is that you add me as a friend and I join your game, to see if it's actually not there

I'll send the save file. I started a new game and found the key after a few minutes in one of the expected places so I think my initial game was weird or corrupted,
