Awesome!
The method in the video worked for me!
I will be trying the demo version 0.1.2.2.0
:D
Would be nice to have a version for people that are English Speakers, just sayin
That is a pirate site.
They make supporter-only links public; the links they share are from Patreon, SubscribeStar.adult, and many other subscription based platforms.
The link they share for The Parasites demo is a supporter-only link.
Most of times, they steal private links, make them public, and make mirrors to create traffic for their site.
Creators lose supporters, money, and the will to complete their projects because of pirate sites like that toxic pit.
I know because I'm also an enthusiast game developer; guys, don't use those pirate sites.
:V
Their link is to 1.2.2.0 which is the very same one they give for FREE on their website, so no it's not pirated.
In my defense, I will be throwing a donation to the dev, once I start getting paychecks (damn seasonal contracts), I just like to get an idea of what I'm supporting before I commit financially (and the demo here on steam is barely indicative of what you're actually getting).
It is not the same.
The one shared on their website and Itch.io has time limit and no cheat menu.
The Patreon version doesn't have the 24 hours time limit and has a cheat menu.
The one you find in the pirate site has no time limit and the cheat menu is active. That means that they are making public the supporter-only demo.
Unless the dev is publicly sharing the supporters version... then it is pirated.
:V
Yep, did not realize the other version wasn't the same as the free version of the game, since the version numbers are the same. I got mine from the game's website anyway, which I imagine is outdated compared to Patreon as well.
The one on the Patron is much more complete than the free demos. It plays a lot like The Forest, but the forest is next to Chernobyl.
It is different enough to be interesting but even the updated demo is still broken in spots and quite clunky.
