Graphic are great not sure if it me but i cant get a second small stone to make an axe i even shot the stone with a fist on it bout could not break it so for me could not even make it the first few hours

You need to make a pickaxe first to get small stone again, then you can hit the tree with pickaxe to let it drop branches and make an axe, otherwise you need to find the small stone as they are rare in the wood.

but the pick axe takes 2 small stone wich i can only find one but ill look again

The camp just outside the cave have 2 small stone at the fire place.
