Why not make clothes for the main heroine that don't have even a hint of emphasizing her figure? At least a standard set of clothes – loose pants and a t-shirt. Everywhere in survival games where the protagonist is male, the clothes are appropriate for survival, but here... Even the crotch, chest, and butt have been deliberately torn off. What's the genitalia editor for anyway? Is it really that important in a survival game? Or is it "like" a feature of the game?

It's a thing called gender equality... I'm convinced you've heard about it. Most videogames feature a male character. This one has a female and of course it upset your fragile nature. If there was a naked male in the game you would have been fine with that... oh the irony. :)

Если одежду "починить", она станет полноценными брюками или кофтой свободного кроя? А тут я так понимаю её туда притащили в эту пещеру (начальную локацию), что б сожрать или разделать дикари/психи/паразиты.
Думаю можно было сделать её вообще голой изначально, тогда никто бы не обиделся на сексуализацию, но с другой стороны так худо-бедно уже показана механика износа в клочья одежды.

Clothing damage fan service games had already been dead for years.(last time we got decent game like that or any at all was early - mid parts of 2010)

You get like 30+ new woke games for people who are interested.(and maybe another 20+ coming out every few months)

But as soon as you get 1 game with clothing damage as fan service in it gets worked on, it gets destroyed right away.

I thought the developer is a lone female? anyways,fe/male nudity in games that are survival is more common in recent years then a long time ago. since the game is aimed at adults, i would expect everyone would appreciate the option to choose to be as naked or as clothed in a survival situation as you would want to be. its not like this game is being developed to become a hentai game (yet, but the dev wants to add more NSFW features if they get their monthly donations up).
as for the star citizen comment. the game's development was focused on S42, thus the feature releases on SC were a bit slow the last few years. however, since S42 has reached a point where its nearly feature complete. they are bringing over the polished features to SC. they have a more finished product then ashes of creation currently. i think the SC meme that 'its never going to be released' will be done after 2025, when they start really dropping content, rather then new features.
anyways back on topic, i think the nudity for the female protagonist aligns with the idea that your subjected to a parasite infection and slowly develop into a monster. losing your humanity in the process. typically in games like cyberpunk, conan exiles, scum, et al. the addition of nudity is not to focus on the sexuality aspect, but rather the 'de-humanization' think of it as returning to the primal beginnings. the kill or be killed, no laws, no civilization. just you against everything else. the nudity part of the game emphasizes the loss of dignity, which is a key part of civilized life, what separates us humans from animals. the developer even added a animation to the character when they are naked to cover up when naked. which is actually the first time i seen something like that in a video game that is not a hentai game.
I am still keeping my eye on the development of this game, but so far its looking like a decent game, given that its being made by one individual. i honestly would not care if they had to add some minor solo NSFW features into the game to increase their funding to develop the game to completion. after all, a game is a game. I just want to see what this developer creates for us to experience.
