at the start of you turn opening the menu and at the bottom of the screen you will see configure or something like that it lets you move items
Maru Dec 3, 2022 @ 2:19pm
In order to equip an item from your bag, before you knock down the door, or before your turn ends(not in battle) go into the inventory,

there should be a button, @ the bottom middle of the screen that says "configure" click that,

then click & drag the equipped item you want to unequip to the bag and then drag the wanted bagged equippable item to the left, Then click the button to confirm.

Even if you want to just equip a bagged item without needing to unequip something else, the rearrange button has to be pressed

tried it again right now, nothing happens. i see a save icon for a second on the right side of the screen, but the cards stay where they are... my 2 other friends have the same issue.

click the accept button, the changes do have to be confirmed before you close the screen.. idk what to say if it doesn't work still :=s, and steam doesn't make posting picture guides easy.. can't use the inventory screen to move stuff from the hand to equipped or to bagged though, And its not possible to move stuff back into the hand just between the bag and equipped.

I have similar issues. I seem to be able to move items from equipped to carry... but not carry to equipped.

I can think of two possibilities:
1. The slot you need is full. I’m going to suggest to them that the “Swap Items” dialog should pop up, but the long-way solution is to move the equipped item to carry, and then move the carried item to equipped.
2. Race/Class restrictions. That’s mostly just the rules unless you can trade/sell/Cheat! or if you’re a Superminchkin/Halfbreed with an item that says “Not usable by…”

Related: I’ve learned the hard way to check the AIs trade offers to see if I can actually use the things I’d get.

even with nothing equipped I couldn't move anything from the "carried" stack to equipped. Definitely a bug

The only negative of putting items in your backpack is they are "in Play". This means they can be affected by curses and subject to the dirty thief's machinations. The backpack exists because you can store items in DND.
Pegasus Dec 12, 2022 @ 11:51am
I am having the same issue. I can equip from my backpack, but I cannot move an item in my backpack to my hand. For example I cannot move the wishing ring from "carried" to "hand" ... so it's now completely useless to me because you can't use it in a carried status to negate a curse.

And as I write this, I learn that I am wrong. It can be used from carried to prevent a curse. But still would be nice to be able to move items from carried to your hand. Like potions and such.

You should be able to play a "use only once" item from your hand or carried. You can only move items from your hand to inventory and never back.

you can't move stuff back into your hand,
(Which is how real life munchkin works)

the inventory screen(That opens upon hitting the bag icon on the bottom left) doesn't let you move stuff from the hand to the bag/equipped, I've seen so many streamers try to do that their first time playing. instead of playing stuff from the main play screen
