chapter 3 dog day chase scene

the smiling critter in the tunnels move very slow after being shot with the flare gun and cant get past them to complete this part

Hi mate - On the actual chase scene you shouldn't be on any path that requires you to use the gun. If you have run into any critters, you have gone the wrong way or your pace is too slow - you should not encounter them at all if done correctly. Remember the tunnel that has them then go the other way next time.
