I still agree with the rest of your comment tho
Wait, what?! I didn't knew avout the NFTs thing!
Bruh, look at the quality of chapter 1 n' 2, chapter 3 was a let down but still an barely enjoyable experience.
To release chapter 4 with the same ammount of bugs as chapter 3 release...
I remember needing a key to get to the next room on chapter 3, it was on a vent in the ceiling, upon opening it the key should fall, guess what?
I needed at least 4 checkpoint loads for the key to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ render.
Some people needed to tweak the graphics for the key to show up.
Agree with you, my Wife and I were looking up for chapter 3.
The teasers were amazing, trailers were fabulous.
The way the lore is build up and presented to the player is top notch, something that lacks on chapter 4.
But to only face catnap in the end of the episode, and barely fighting him, it was a huge letdown.
Not to mention, he wasn't scary at all.
All the audio design budget were spent on the chapter trailer.
Catnap's meow resembling children screams, dude imagine hearing that on a dark room/hallway.
Fooking terryfying, but they lost the opportunity :( wich let us both to give a step back when it comes to MOB...
My biggest complaint, however, is with the completeness of the story. Sadly, no matter how many patches are applied, this is something that can never be fixed.
First of all, the dark side of Playtime Inc. is portrayed in an utterly unrealistic manner. How is it that the sudden death of over 60 people and the disappearance of an entire household (Doey's family) fail to create as much of a stir as the CatNap recall? In an effort to depict Playtime Inc.'s misdeeds on an epic scale, the narrative has strayed too far from reality. Moreover, the personalities of the executives are far too one-dimensional and lack any real complexity. A good villain is one whose own follies are an inseparable part of their character. Dr. Sawyer, Leith Pierre, and Eddie Ritterman all come off as typical, trite, and nothing more than stock antagonists.
On the other hand, Mommy long legs seemed to possess a very complex inner life. I know nothing about who she was when she was human, but after transforming into her Bigger Body, I sensed in her a deep loneliness and a profound sadness inherent to humanity.
This line, heard in Statues, is incredibly striking. It suggests that, having become her Bigger Body, her only purpose in life was to play with the children. Yet to them, she wasn't seen as a "mother" but merely as "mommy" – nothing more than a mascot character. That must have been utterly despairing for her. It is a true tragedy.
(This is merely a hypothesis, but I suspect that her reluctance to become part of the prototype stemmed from the existence of the orphans. If that's true, perhaps she could have become the caring and gentle "Mother" after all…?)
In Chapter 3, I had expected that role would be passed on to the Smiling Critters, but it ended up falling flat. I was hoping that this installment would make up for Chapter 3's shortcomings, yet I was deeply frustrated to find it filled with the same panel voice-overs, the hollow Yarnaby, the Nightmare Critters, and Dr. Sawyer—just as in Chapter 3.
