The Red Gas Crash in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4

Giving the context, the game ran smoothly until the part where the Doctor starts throwing the red gas, in this part the game freezes or crashes, I'm in the part where I have to climb the stairs to escape, but every time I try this happens, if anyone can help, I'll be happy

Me too, dude. I ain't hv any idea why did it freeze or crash in the first place? Hopefully, they'll fix this crash asap

Same exact thing that happens to me, I tried to change all the settings I could but I couldn't figure out a way to solve it. If someone has any idea to fix it, it would be great

Same here. After the 2nd password(CAGE), the gas started to be cleared out, and then the game crashed. Does someone has the solution?

I found out if you load the game to the pint before you get this red card and then play it wont crash but if you die and it loads at some point after it it will crash

I have the same issue ...
It seems that when you load the checkpoint before this section (When Ollie contact you and where there is the office with the warden's tape), it doesn't crash when you restart the red smoke parts.

The same thing... I tried to restart four times and even changed the graphics settings to a minimum, but in the end everything is the same. I hope the patch will be released soon :(

I have the same thing, when I get to the point where the glass breaks out of the gas, the game stupidly crashes.

Yes, my friend had a similar situation. There are a couple of ways to solve this, he just used them all:

1) There may be some problem with the fact that some other chapter was downloaded along with chapter 4 and it affects the game files (I'm not sure if this is true, but my friend just deleted it)

2) Make your graphics settings minimal

3) During the window explosion, go back through the door you entered to get into the office, and everything should be fine.

Here's what I did, hope it helps. I restarted the game (New Game) and made sure I didn't die, as the bug usually happens after I've died at least once. Restart the game, don't die, and you should be good. :D
