So, a lot of you have already tried the new "update" that was rolled out for Chapters 1 and 2. And were met with a horrible graphical downgrade and worse performance, among other things.

Turns out, it's not a "proper" update. What these guys did is take the versions from CONSOLE, and port them to PC without any care. Chapter 1 looks like a mobile game now. And Chapter 2 looks better, but the performance is absolutely horrible. There's a nasty bug where if you press escape you can no longer move the camera, and the settings screen looks like crap.

I was hopeful for this supposed "quality of life" update, and I thought it would make the games at least a bit closer to Chapter 3. What they did was port the PC versions to console then por them BACK to PC with a batch of new bugs and optimization issues.

Honestly I'm very disappointed with Mob. I already knew for a while that they were in for the money, but I thought at least they would have the decency to give their developers more time and resources, rather than telling them to make a half-assed bad port and call it a day so they can go back to farm Chapter 4 for views.

First of all, no, no matter how bad it is, it is not a cash grab. I trust they will fix them. And how are they farming chapter 4?

First of all, no, no matter how bad it is, it is not a cash grab. I trust they will fix them. And how are they farming chapter 4?

Oh please. Poppy Playtime is good, they make good games, but that doesn't change the fact that the developers are in for the money. There's a reason they have made a bazillion different types of merch, and that all of it is expensive as hell. Even going as far as marketing a horror game to children by making literal school backpacks. Anyone that still doesn't see it is just in denial.

It's not Garten of Banban, they actually put some passion into game development. But they are still in very obviously for money.

I'm willing to take back what I said about Ch4, but I don't at all doubt the possiblity that they would completely forget about Ch1 and Ch2 in their current state in order to garner attention from Ch4. It's Mob, they're just ITCHING to begin rolling out a new line of plushies at 40€ each.

1: it’s not a kids game just bc there’s kid merch. Deadpool which has kid merch would also be a kids show if that’s the logic.
2. They deserve the money if their games are well Made, and I trust they will fix them issues
3. At least it’s better than gobb and mwiii lmao

Im honestly really disappointed in mob. I thought they were gonna do a good quality update "to match chapter 4" or something. But the game is currently in a worse state than when chapter 1 first released.....

1. I totally agree, it's not a kids game. Which is why I'm slightly pissed at them targeting it to children.
2. Partly true, I just wish they were a bit less money-hungry.

4. Mommy Long-Legs is certainly my favorite villain. Her writing and voice acting is unmatched. Really gives you that "absolutely unhinged person" vibe.

Agreed. Chapter 2 does look better, but there's that bug you described where you can't move the camera with the mouse after pressing the escape key. There's so many things wrong as well: Lag, having to let go of the button on the mouse used to fire one of the grab pack hands when grappling up, sometimes it doesn't register when swinging across a gap, Mommy Long Legs' hit box in the final chase is bigger and you can die easily, the power poles make a sound when you're doing electrical puzzles, the one to power on Statues disconnects after a while and you can't connect your other hand to the second button, the credits screen at the end of the chapter is all white; but you can hear the music that plays during the credits, and the audio of the tapes goes to static a bit while it's playing. With the previous version, I was able to stand in the corner of where you have to swing across to get back to the emergency exit door and Mommy Long Legs would run by me and continue onwards. Now, when I tried that again, she jumpscares me. The only things good are that they added subtitles, made the picture of Chapter 2 better, added a flashlight, and added "replay encounters" to the menu for the game.

I am disappointed with Mob right now. They need to fix all those bugs!

Discovered another bug when I did a short time of playing. After the water treatment room after getting the Bunzo toy, when I was doing the electrical puzzle, I fell through the map while doing the puzzle! I ended up in a black void and couldn't die or move or anything! Mob Entertainment better restore the PC version of Poppy Playtime Chapters 1 and 2 soon, back to how they were before the update that all of us don't even like!

The fact that they not only still haven't reverted this change, but that they haven't even made any announcement, tells me they're not gonna bring it back.

I know they're busy with Chapter 4 but I am disappointed that they didn't even have the decency to apologize.
