(Chapter 3) This game desperately needs more bug fixes
I'm gonna preface this by saying that this is my favorite chapter. The horror is on point, I really like Catnap's character design, and there's cool ideas all around.

This makes it even more unfortunate that the game in its current state still has a fair handful of issues, from sequence breaking to game mechanics ceasing to function.

There hasn't been a patch update in months, the Discord server doesn't even have a designated Chapter 3 bug report forum, and I'm hearing full focus is currently on the next chapter. Please don't abandon this $20 game, especially when there's so much potential. I've had to restart from the beginning multiple times.

The first restart was at the part where Poppy asks you to restore power to the Playcare; I wasn't given time to find the button, and we went back down without power. Granted, I can't confirm if this made the rest of the game unplayable, but it's not supposed to happen and left me assuming the worst.

The second time was when Ollie called about redirecting the gas in the machine for the first time. I got my purple hand, things played out normally. But then I went back out to the Playcare, and when I returned, the phone call played out again, and now the purple hand refused to interact with the jump pads, making the sequence impossible.

Other issues exist as well, like during the DogDay chase, if you go through certain passageways you're not supposed to, there'll be another DogDay inside. The Smiling Critters also only spawned the first time for some reason.

Another more significant one is in the cave puzzle within the counselors office. If you jump back down after completing the puzzle, there's no way of getting back up (as far as I'm aware, and I tried for quite a while.)

If you activate the generator in the counselors office, remove the batteries from the generator room door, quit to the main menu and resume the game, you'll re-load inside of said generator room, but with the batteries removed, the door will be shut and impossible to open back up.

To add to the sequence breaking, it's possible to trigger the cutscene where Poppy & Kissy take you up on the lift by walking over to that part of the room, even if it's your first time entering that area and they're nowhere to be seen.

Tell that to the Project Playtime side of this community. I'm sure they wouldn't mind the devs putting more time to polish game more over theirs. xD (sarcasm)

In all seriousness though, I've only played the chapter once on its release week, so I haven't went back to see the changes. I heard the chases got improved though.

I had to make fun of the other side of the community, lmao. There's fire on their end.

I haven't experienced anything game breaking, but the games are definitely buggy and need some more polishing

Found out that I wasn't softlocked the third time, I just didn't know the generator room had a vent I was supposed to go through. So the door thing, while still a bug, isn't game breaking. Edited the post to account for this

Don't forget about the funniest bug in the entire series was the battery glitch where it turned from small to giant battery while doing the puzzle.

It's still possible that they'll remaster chapter 2 and 3 once they done the whole series.

I have similar problem with Dark Deception which I did have great time playing despite some bugs where it takes while to patch it once they finished chapter 5 which is the final chapter.

A remaster would look so good in the new graphics they used in Ch. 3! It would be cool, too, if they added more to certain rooms in Ch. 2, especially. I still can't get over how cool Playcare looked.
Also, what's with the batteries being super small models when going through the tubes and suddenly turning big at the end? How was that left in the final product?

I don't know if that's a bug, but as long it's doesn't affect the game, I would not be bother about it. If that's a bug, I would consider a minor bug which is nitpick. We can only address the major bugs that can ruined the game first rather than worried about minor bug that doesn't affect the game.

Yeah no, it looks stupid as ♥♥♥♥ and is clearly a leftover from the development stage. Don't care if it doesn't break the game.
You're telling me that seeing the huge blue battery come out of a 5cm tube doesn't affect the experience a little bit? It ♥♥♥♥♥ up immersion.

I don't know how the big battery managed to fit into the small pipe, but adding the another big pipe that can fit in won't be an issue. Even they did added the pipe, nothing will change the game. It's only a minor problem, so we're not going to nitpick about it.

Batteries changing size is something I haven't seen, but I did find that one of those glass cases in the counselors office wouldn't break unless I dropped it in a really specific place, which had me stuck for a while. Didn't wanna bloat the post too much

update: Just got to that part in the game, goofy but clearly intentional and not a bug

After I finally escaped Ms. Delight. I picked up the item to go to the next area and got an error crash, it loaded my game to the Ms. Delight chase sequence and I get soft locked before the final door. Happened twice now, I think my data got corrupted and thinks my checkpoint should be after the Ms. Delight chase. I'm sadly done with the game
