Question around the vending machines...

I understand that the toy monsters are hungry. On the other, I've looked at several vending machines. Some look empty, some look quite full.

Seeing as even Catnap is strong enough to throw someone, he and others would be strong enough to break the machines open, getting bags of "Brony Bites" and "Catbee Honey Bars", but they didn't. With the hunger issue, I should be seeing only ransacked machines, not intact stocked ones. Can they only eat meat now or something?

Then again, I'm rambling about how intact the vending machines are in a torn up facility. I somehow blame Bioshock....
