I can't access the school | Softlock

It's my first playthrough of the game. I just went out from Home Sweet Home, watched the entire cutscene with Poppy, attached the power to the center of the statue and picked up the key for the school. I entered the school, went to the first loading screen inside, hoping the game to save my progress inside the school since I needed to quit the game.

When I went back to the game, I spawned on the main room, in front of the statue, but everything is locked now. I can't get the power cord, there is no key, no cutscene, and the school doesn't show the "locked" icon when I'm in front but the doors won't open anyways.

Am I softlocked? Is it any way to save my gamefile? I don't want to do everything again to this point. Yeah the atmosphere was really great the first time but there is 0 replayability up to this point and it would be simply tedious.

Quick update: For everyone who might be in a situation like mine, I just found out the Speedrun community has a zip with a savefile for each checkpoint. I just switched mine with the correct savefile and I'm back with my progress. Thank you Speedrun community!

I followed the instructions to the best of my ability, but was not able to figure out how to overcome the original problem of not having access to the school. Please fix this. So frustrating.

Yeah this problem should still be addressed properly, but anyways, assuming you found the save file but didn't know where to put it, the directory should be this: C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Local\Playtime_Chapter3\Saved\

If you can't see AppData, a quick google search should help you with that.
