Chapter 3 Crashing

For some reason, during the opening cutscene of Chapter 3, my game screen just froze... No error message and no closing. The game screen simply freezes with the audio running in the background. As far as I know, it's just the game that freezes, since in the meantime I can use the computer normally. I did a test leaving the graphics at minimum and it didn't crash during the initial cutscene, but it did crash during gameplay. Could anyone help me with this?

I restarted the computer, reinstalled the game, ran it as administrator, checked the integrity of the files and other things I saw when searching... I really have no idea what it is

I have had a similar issue with other games before. If you have Nvidia, search "Nvidia Control Panel" on your device. From there, go to "Manage 3D settings, Program Settings" and click on the drop down menu and select Poppy Playtime. From there, scroll down to "Max Frame Rate" and select on, then cap it at whatever you want. You can also change some of the other graphics settings, just in case. Once done at the very bottom of the page press "Apply" and restart the game (does not need to be running, restart it only if it is) Honestly, I do NOT know if this will actually solve it, I've only had a similar issue with games such as Overwatch, but doing that fixed it for me. From what I understand, something goes wrong and the framerate and things spike, crashing the game. I think it is something to do with the in game settings changing, which is why I use Nvidia control panel. If it doesn't work, best of luck.

I bought when it first came out, and nothing I have done including adding --force-vulkan. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 5 times. Ran as admin, I can play anything else but Poppy Playtime Chapter 3.

i got it a day after release

I bought it the day it released and planned speedrunning it for my youtube channel. when i started recording, only five minutes in, I was at playcare, then the game crashed.
