Now that I look back at the VHS clip from the game, I noticed MOB added a couple video distortions when the man mentions the "actual" doll name.

I'm guessing when they started with Chapter 1, they didn't had much to work with until it attracted a lot of popularity.

Im really curious how MOB was able to re record the mans voice to say "Poppy" ?

It looks to me MOB just took this old footage and edited it for the game, I also question the legality behind this, i find it really interesting tho.

they took the original video but dubbed over it with a new voice. if you pay very close attention, you can see the voice doesn't quite sync up with his lips. it is literally the exact original video from that 1971 commercial
