Game files required to initialize the global shader library are missing.
Recently bought Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 not too long ago. I've only got to play the game for about 30 minutes. However the game kept launching in Steam VR mode which is very odd, so I decided to play the game for a while, getting all the way up to where you play Statues until I accidentally closed the game by closing Steam VR. I forgot to mention I did set my game to Vulkan instead of having in on Direct X 12, which was the default. After this, I tried to open up the game again and it popped up an error box saying:

Miss game files


Game files required to initialize the global shader library are missing
from:

U:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/PoppyPlaytime/WindowsNoEditor/Playtime_Protoype4/Content/

Please make sure the game is installed correctly.



This error would show up EVERY time. No matter if I uninstalled the game and reinstalled, or verified game integrity. If anyone knows a fix to this, please let me know.

i sent an email to the mob support team because i have this error, also at what time did you buy chapter 2? the mini bug fix update that came on the 25th ruined some files and i have this error too.

I bought Chapter 2 around 2:00 AM CDT. I have no idea why this error is occurring. It just started happening after I accidentally closed the game a weird way. It was stuck in Steam VR mode and I couldn't get it off Steam VR.

I'm having the same issue. My grandson was playing Chapter 2...it's been a couple days since he's played now it does not launch. Chapter 1 will launch.
