Insane CPU usage

I tried steaming this game today and the 100% CPU usage (75% was Poppy) was causing my computer to lag really badly. So I reset my PC and booted up just the game to see and even still the game lagged, so much so the audio was 10 seconds faster then the video.

For reference i have a Intel i7, 16 GB ram, AMD radeon R9 200 series graphics card and 500 GB free hard drive space... and running the game on 720p 60fps all Low quality!

The fact I can't play this game even for myself on a PC that can run games like Skyrim, boarderlands, Warzone, minecraft full graphic it's confusing.

Please help!

Follow up, I just streamed a different game with the same CPU and GPU usage but it steamed and played with zero issues

If its an old i7 its just met its match, my 3770k @4.7gghz just didnt cut it anymore and new games always had it running hot, even phasmophobia was making it hit high temps. i noticed even my 1080ti was being bottlenecked by my 3770k and then i went to a 2080ti and the issue got worse.

lowering the graphical fidelity just puts more stress on the cpu, if u want to lessen the strain on the cpu, crank the graphics up.

This is not true at all, the game is on the heavy side, the developers admit this them selfs on the requirements. Its completely un-optimised.

i have a gtx770 with a ryzen 5 3600x and 32GB of ram i had no issue and my cpu was only 12% running almost 100 other programs

That's great its good for you with twice as much ram and a better graphic card XD

Hi, I've upgraded the graphics card on my laptop to the AMD RADEON HD8330 as directed and it just keeps hanging! I run Age of Empires through STEAM and it's superb ... so can't understand why the graphics situation is so different on another game on the same platform? Any ideas anyone????

I have an RTX 4080 and a Ryzen 9 9900X and I can’t stream poppy’s either and it didn’t allow me to record and caused prism to lag severely for some reason it freezes or has a black screen and is at 100% CPU usage
